Overview

‍ISO/IEC 27701 provides requirements and guidance for managing personal data responsibly, whether your organization acts as a PII controller, a PII processor or both. Originally published as an extension to ISO/IEC 27001, it builds privacy controls into a proven information security foundation. Certification gives customers and regulators independent assurance that your organization handles personal information with transparency and care.

‍Readiness Assessment

An ISO/IEC 27701 readiness assessment reviews your privacy program against the requirements of the standard. We evaluate areas such as data inventories, lawful basis for processing, data subject rights, privacy impact assessments and third-party data sharing to identify gaps. The outcome is a clear roadmap that prepares your organization for certification.

‍Certification Assessment

Our ISO/IEC 27701 certification assessment evaluates whether your privacy information management system meets the requirements of the standard. Upon successful completion, your organization receives an ISO/IEC 27701 certificate valid for three years, supported by annual surveillance audits that confirm your privacy controls remain effective. Organizations already certified to ISO/IEC 27001 with Emagine Compliance can add privacy certification to their existing program.

‍Transfer Assessment

Organizations can transfer their ISO/IEC 27701 certification to Emagine Compliance from another certification body at any point in the certification lifecycle. We conduct an assessment to confirm continued compliance and reissue your certificate under our authority. Organizations holding both ISO/IEC 27001 and 27701 can transfer both together for a streamlined experience.
